The Cleveland Bar Association's Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Section is presenting a full day program intended to be a comprehensive overview of the basics of chapter 11 practice for both the novice and those practitioners who occasionally require some familiarity with the law in this complex area. The program will also be a great "refresher" for the more seasoned practitioner, presented by leading members of the local chapter 11 bar, who will share their invaluable experiences in the practice.

The program will present the structure of chapter 11, and review chapter 11's fundamentals, terminology, the "players," and common issues. The panelists will also explore how we got where we are today, and why an appreciation for the historical context of the Bankruptcy Code is important in understanding the practice.

Finally, the panelists will discuss what it means when you find out a party to your litigation has filed bankruptcy, and practice pointers and issue spotting for litigators and corporate lawyers.
