7th Cir. The rule against pro se appearance by a corporation is not jurisdictional. If a corporate debtor's non-lawyer president signs a petition, the defect can be cured through the prompt signature by a lawyer on an amended petition.

TW Telecom Holdings Inc. v. Carolina Internet Ltd.
(DBN)
10th Cir. The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has reversed its long-standing policy of allowing Chapter 11 debtors to continue to prosecute appeals from judgments entered against them despite the automatic stay provision of the Bankruptcy Code.

Bankr. ED NY A Chapter 9 debtor must be authorized under State law to file a bankruptcy petition. Although NY State law authorizes a county to file a bankruptcy petition, it does not authorize a county to authorize another entity to file a bankruptcy petition. Hence, the OTB debtor's bankruptcy filing is unauthorized and is dismissed.
